A private rubber company demolished a pre-historical site

I just got a bad news from VOA Khmer’s yesterday article. A private rubber company has completely demolished a pre-historical important circular earthwork, Samrong. The company said they are so regretful for their unintentional action. However it is done and the site has already been cleared.  I am wondering why the government granted the land for this company despite the fact that it has already known the land was one of archeological sites. This is the big mistake of the authority, ministry of culture, especially the government itself. The government should reconsider for land concession and it is a must for authority ministry archeologists and investor to cooperate before doing anything on the land which is claimed as the archeological site.
